Brian Myers, PMP, CM-BIM

Design technology leader for architecture, engineering and construction

Firms buy technology faster than their people can use it well. I close that gap.

I help architects, engineers and builders put BIM, VDC and AI to work across offices. A tool only matters once people use it on real projects, and that is the part I work on.

History

I started in 1998 as a draftsman and residential designer. More than 200 homes and villas were built from my designs and construction documents.

In 2006 I moved to an Autodesk reseller. For seven years I taught Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD and 3ds Max to architects, engineers and contractors. I was one of the first ten Autodesk Certified Instructors for Revit Architecture in North America.

From 2013 I led BIM and design technology for engineering firms and a general contractor. At Alberici I led BIM and virtual design and construction on more than $1 billion of healthcare and laboratory construction, and I built the company's BIM certification program. At Jacobs I led a 17 person digital delivery group across 13 offices, running the BIM environments behind federal capital programs.

Over the same years I recorded about 1,900 training videos on Revit, BIM management and AEC technology. Today I lead design technology for engineering at DLR Group.
